Products containing the cannabis-derived compound CBD are sweeping the continent, and the creator of the US’ most iconic jelly beans has joined the trend.
Candy-maker David Klein, who created the world-famous Jelly Belly brand in 1976, has rolled out a line of CBD candy beans, targeting what he feels is a gap in current offerings for edibles.
Klein has stayed active in the confectionary space since selling the Jelly Belly brand in 1980 and launched other bean-related businesses. After learning more about the benefits of CBD, Klein said to himself, “is anybody doing a jelly bean with CBD?” His resulting and latest venture
Each bean reportedly contains 10mg of CBD, which Klein says makes it easy for customers to administer the right dose. Don’t forget, Cannabis-infused foods can have a delayed effect. It is very important to consider dosing to prevent consuming more than intended.
